Non-chip cards still have PIN technology through the magnetic stripe on the reverse of the card. The retailer must swipe the card through their terminal or till point and ask you to either enter your PIN or sign to authorise payment. |
Cash back |
Some merchants offer a cash back option that allows you to obtain cash over and above the amount of your purchase. Please note purchase transaction fees apply. |
Identity |
In some countries it is standard practice to ask you for identity when making a purchase with a credit or debit card. |
‘Zip Zap’ Machines |
Your Tuxedo card must be authorised online and should not be used in the old fashioned Zip Zap or Click Clack machines as this can generate substantial unexpected or additional costs to you. |
